Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Safety & Compliance professional to oversee regulatory and environmental safety programs.

You will conduct hazardous evacuation drills, ensure compliance with federal and state policies, and lead safety training for team members, including orientation and powered equipment operation. The role emphasizes strong communication, flexibility in shifts, and the ability to investigate theft and security incidents while maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers and

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility in performing assigned shift work.
• Understanding of Federal and State safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience in Loss Prevention, Security or Military background is beneficial.
• Ability to conduct internal/external theft investigations.
• Ability to lead and teach safety-related classes (orientation, evacuation, powered equipment operation).

Responsibilities

• Conduct hazardous emergency evacuation drills including tornado and fire drills.
• Maintain high standards of safety, accountability for self and others (200%).
