Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation in Florida is seeking a Safety/Security professional for a shift Thursday-Saturday 3:00pm-3:00am. You will oversee entry/exit, conduct safety audits, monitor hazard materials, and respond to incidents using CCTV and SOPs.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in Safety or Loss Prevention, a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification or able to obtain it, and willingness to work non-traditional hours; benefits and weekly pay reflect Ace’s commitment.

Compensation Details

$16.60 to $20.80 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Oversees and observes employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.
• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
• Conducts safety trainings.

What You Need To Succeed

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in Safety, Security, Loss Prevention.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
