Job summary

Macy's is seeking an Asset Protection Captain to train, educate, and supervise staff in detecting and preventing theft of company property. The role focuses on coaching AP/LP staff, implementing prevention programs, and preserving a secure shopping environment that protects people and assets.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise AP/LP staff to detect theft.
• Develop programs to prevent theft by customers and employees.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training on surveillance systems.
• Respond to incidents to facilitate first aid and minimize liability.
• Recover stolen merchandise and apprehend shoplifters.
• Investigate criminal violations on company premises.
• Prepare reports on theft incidents and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies on apprehensions and evidence.
