Job summary

Meijer is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection team member to help safeguard customers, team members, and vendors in Michigan. You will support safety, security, and loss prevention initiatives while upholding company policies.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, conducting surveillance, reviewing reports, assisting in investigations, and testifying in court when required. A commitment to thorough documentation and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 6 months security experience or 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior/parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up as necessary.
• Conducts shoplifting surveillance.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment.
• Reviews alarm system printer for suspicious activity.
• Participates in apprehension of those in violation of the law and assists in prosecution of external theft cases.
• Engages in documentation and report writing; ensures incident history is complete for litigation.
• Testifies in criminal/civil court proceedings.
• Adheres to all safety practices and policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
