Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Security/Asset Protection team member to help ensure a safe environment for customers, team members, and vendors. You will inspect exterior areas, monitor for safety hazards, and report concerns to Store Leadership.

The role requires a High School diploma and at least 6 months of security experience or 1 year of work experience, plus strong documentation and surveillance skills. You will participate in theft prevention, review alarm data, and assist in prosecuting theft

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect building exterior and parking lot to identify hazards.
• Conduct backroom and sales floor walking inspections.
• Review cashier exception reports and conduct internal theft surveillance.
• Participate in apprehension of those violating the law and assist in prosecution of theft cases.
• Document incidents thoroughly and write reports suitable for litigation.
• Testify in court proceedings and adhere to safety policies.
