Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Asset Protection professional in Michigan to safeguard customers, teammates, and assets while supporting store operations. You will participate in surveillance, inspections, and incident documentation to deter theft and ensure safety.

You bring at least 6 months of security experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and strong documentation skills. Meijer offers weekly pay, education assistance, parental leave, team discounts, and development programs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior/parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up as necessary.
• Conducts shoplifting surveillance.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership for action.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment for effective operation.
• Participates in apprehension of those violating the law and assists in prosecution of theft cases.
• Engages in extensive documentation and report writing with incident histories.
• Testifies in criminal court and/or civil court proceedings.
• Adheres to safety practices and policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
