Purpose and Scope

As a member of the Asset Protection Department, you will be responsible for safeguarding business assets such as the building and its contents, as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of all associates.

Your daily tasks will include managing departmental schedules, creating Standard Operating Procedures, assisting with AP procedures, training, scorecard management, and handling special assignments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with AP peers and solution providers on projects.
  • Lead asset protection, safety, and preparedness initiatives through training and awareness.
  • Manage access control and visitor reports.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy in accordance with control procedures.
  • Implement policies and procedures in collaboration with AP management.
  • Investigate incidents related to theft, injury, and unlawful acts.
  • Coordinate emergency access programs.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and audits to the AP Director.
  • Maintain scorecards, audits, and supply requests for the department.
  • Oversee security systems, including cameras and alarms.
  • Monitor and enforce asset protection policies to minimize losses.
  • Support emergency response and crisis management plans.
  • Work in various environments, including outdoor and warehouse settings, requiring standing, walking, and movement for extended periods.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge

- Must possess a NYS Security License or be able to obtain one.

- Prior loss prevention or related experience preferred, with a minimum of one year.

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint, PKMS, PDA, report writing, and RF systems.

- Working knowledge of warehouse operations and fire protection systems.

- Ability to gather facts impartially and report accurately in verbal and written forms.

- Ability to manage and diffuse potentially violent or stressful situations.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to organize multiple projects and priorities.

- Proven ability to develop effective relationships at all organizational levels.

Travel Required: Travel as needed.
