The Asset Protection Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily Asset Protection operations within an assigned facility. This role monitors access control and CCTV systems, assists with internal and external theft investigations, conducts facility audits and inspections, responds to critical incidents, and maintains accurate case and incident documentation.
The ideal candidate will have retail Asset Protection or Loss Prevention experience, strong observational and investigative skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and civil authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily Asset Protection operations, including surveillance monitoring, access control reviews, facility patrols, and incident response.
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems to identify and respond to unusual or suspicious activity.
- Serve as a lead resource for investigations involving internal and external theft concerns.
- Support case development, evidence collection, camera review, and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) activities.
- Assist with facility audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Document audit findings and track corrective actions through completion.
- Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, investigation records, case documentation, and audit records in accordance with Asset Protection standards.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of security technology and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) activities.
- Respond to critical incidents involving retail stores and facilities as required.
- Coordinate with management and other stakeholders during investigations and security-related incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed by the Asset Protection supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of retail Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Asset Prevention experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent observation and analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate unusual behavior or circumstances.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, employees, and civil authorities.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and handle confidential information.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
