Job summary

Chemours is seeking an Associate Category Manager - Assets in Wilmington, Delaware. You will lead asset planning, sourcing, leasing, and governance for our enterprise asset portfolio, including railcars, ISO tanks, mobile equipment, and trailers.

This role focuses on optimizing total cost of ownership, asset performance, and cross-functional partnership with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in asset management, procurement, finance, or industrial operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing global, regional, or cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing asset portfolios, supplier and banking relationships, leasing programs, and capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financing and leasing strategies for asset acquisitions with banks, leasing providers and partners.
• Optimize asset utilization and total cost of ownership across manufacturing, logistics, lab, fleet and facilities assets.
• Lead strategic sourcing, RFP/RFQ, supplier negotiations, contracts, and governance.
• Develop lease-versus-buy recommendations and support capital planning decisions.
• Conduct financial modeling including NPV, IRR, ROI, TCO, lifecycle cost, and spend analyses.
• Partner with Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Accounting to ensure ASC 842/IFRS 16 compliance.
• Establish asset governance, performance, reporting, and compliance metrics.
• Leverage SAP, Power BI, Ariba, and other platforms to improve decision-making.
• Lead and develop asset management and procurement teams.
