Job summary

BWE in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Asset Manager to work with the Asset Management team and borrowers, lenders, and government agencies to preserve multifamily property values by collateralizing Mortgage Loans.

You will monitor financials, verify documentation, coordinate inspections, analyze performance, and ensure timely reporting to Fannie Mae and proper file maintenance. Strong communication and multitasking are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in real estate asset/portfolio management, finance, or mortgage servicing.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor monthly/quarterly financials and ensure documentation is filed and logs updated.
• Coordinate property inspections and engage third-party vendors as needed.
• Analyze financial performance and report on portfolio results.
• Ensure servicing files and reports to Fannie Mae are complete and timely.
• Coordinate with internal audit and data quality control.

Summary:The Asset Manager works with all Asset Management team members as well as borrowers, lenders, local, state and federal government agencies to preserve the value of the multifamily housing by collateralizing those Mortgage LoansMajor Responsibilities:Monitor and track receipt of monthly/quarterly financials.Confirm all documentation is filed appropriately and tracking logs are updated.Identify Properties requiring a Property Inspection or interim PCA at least monthly and engage third party vendors through competitive bidding and negotiate contract terms.Analyze and report on financial performance for an assigned portfolio of Loans.Ensure (i) all documentation is saved in each Property’s Servicing File, and (ii) all reports are submitted to Fannie Mae on a timely basis.Perform ongoing asset management and surveillance activities to identify, monitor, rate and mitigate the financial, credit, operational, physical, ownership and market risks impacting the multifamily properties collateralizing the portfolio, as assigned.Coordinate ad hoc Borrower communications.Coordinate data quality control with all Asset Managers.Coordinate financial and inspection submissions for all TEAM Loans.Coordinate with Internal Audit on annual reporting and compliance.Assist with systems development and process improvement efforts.Minimum Requirements:(experience, education, ksa)Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in real estate asset / portfolio management, finance, or mortgage servicingUndergraduate business degree in general accounting, banking, finance, real estate, or relatable field is required.Commercial real estate background desirable.Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, coordinate, and communicate effectively and cultivate new and existing relationships.Good analytical, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.Good oral and written communication skills.Creative and flexible approach to problem solving and organizational challenges.We encourage you to explore the career opportunities we have available here at BWE!Please note, BWE will not sponsor applicants for this position for immigration benefits, including but not limited to assisting with obtaining work permission for F-1 students, H-1B professionals, O-1 workers, TN workers, E-3 workers, among other immigration statuses.
