Job summary

Empower AI, a government-focused technology provider, seeks an Asset Management Specialist to join the Acquisition and Asset Management Team supporting DoS IT services enterprise-wide. You will manage hardware and software assets throughout their life cycle, including license reconciliation, reporting, and audits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT asset management or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hardware and software asset lifecycle, including end-of-life, reconciliation, reporting, trend analysis, and audits.
  • Maintain a comprehensive license data repository with vendor, software, version, users, licensing fees, hardware age, and license dates.
  • Conduct periodic audits of installed equipment to ensure proper license assignment.
  • Maintain data for COTS software licenses and assign barcodes to NCR equipment with GSD.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk to ensure proper equipment provisioning.
  • Manage government-owned personal property through receiving, storing, replenishing, issuing, tracking, inventorying, and disposing.
  • Use ILMS Asset Management module for tracking and accountability.
  • Keep files of receiving documents, purchase orders, disposal documents, and forms for specified periods.
  • Monitor asset accountability globally through the Property Management Division.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Asset Management Specialist works within the Acquisition and Asset Management Team to ensure we manage all assets (hardware and software) and complete required deliverables to support the customer's mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of a team that provides comprehensive hardware and software asset management throughout the asset life cycle, ensuring that software end-of-life is included, including reconciliation activities, report generation, trend analysis, periodic inventory reviews, and operational compliance support.
  • You will also maintain a comprehensive license data repository tracking vendor name, software name and version, number of authorized users or devices, licensing fees, hardware age, and start and end dates for licenses and maintenance.
  • The Asset Management Specialist conducts periodic audits of installed equipment to ensure proper license assignment.
  • You will also maintain data for COTS software licenses and assign barcodes to NCR equipment in coordination with the General Service Division (GSD).
  • You will work closely with Service Desk staff to ensure proper equipment provisioning.
  • Asset management includes receiving, storing, replenishing, issuing, tracking, inventorying, and disposing of Government-owned personal property.
  • The ILMS Asset Management module shall be used for tracking and accountability.
  • Complete files of receiving documents, outstanding purchase orders, disposal documents, and all issue/return forms shall be kept for specific periods.
  • The Property Management Division monitors accountability of these assets worldwide.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 5+ years
  • Bachelor's in IT or related field
  • Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Standing for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
  • Travel by land or air transportation 10 %.
