Job summary

CEDARst Companies in San Diego is seeking an Asset Management Associate to support asset-level strategies and reporting.

You will analyze financials, assist with capital structure decisions, and coordinate with partners and property managers. The role reports to the CFO and may require travel.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in San Diego, with growth opportunities within our real estate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.
• 3-5 years real estate industry experience.
• Firm understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Hands-on problem solver with process-improvement mindset.
• Self-starter in fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• Ability to distill analyses into clear findings.
• Strong interpersonal skills for internal/external collaboration.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Yardi, Juniper Square, CoStar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist asset-level strategies to maximize returns.
• Conduct financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs review.
• Prepare investor reporting packages and lead performance calls.
• Benchmark property performance against peers and market trends.
• Assist with refinancing and disposition due diligence and closings.
• Underwrite leasing prospects for mixed-use assets.
• Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and counsel.
• Track KPIs like occupancy, rent, NOI and expenses.
• Conduct regular on-site property inspections to assess operations.
