Job summary

Cedar Investment Group is seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst/Associate to join our investment team in Arlington, VA or New York, NY. The role covers the full lifecycle from evaluating acquisitions and development opportunities to asset management and funding across data center and infrastructure projects.

You will build financial models, analyze IRR/NPV, conduct market research, and support transaction execution with senior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, investment banking, M&A, private equity, real estate finance, or related field.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work through complex financial and investment information.
• Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and financial analysis.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to take ownership, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and execution of real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, M&A transactions, and development opportunities.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, IRR and NPV analyses, sensitivities, and scenario testing.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and assessment of key risks and value creation opportunities.
• Monitor the financial and operational performance of existing investments against budgets, business plans, and underwriting assumptions.
• Support project funding and construction draw processes, working with Finance, Project Accounting, lenders, and capital partners.
• Support development and entitlement activities and evaluate their impact on project timing, underwriting, and investment strategy.
• Coordinate transaction and project due diligence across internal teams, consultants, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders.
• Prepare investment memoranda, financial analyses, portfolio reporting, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Cedar is seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst / Associate to join our growing investment team. What We’re Looking For
