Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fill out CREFC reports accurately and timely.
• Assist in property appraisals and financial analysis (income statements, balance sheets, occupancy, vacancies).
• Review lease agreements for leasing commissions and rent status.
• Research market demand, tenants, rents, and building condition.
• Collaborate with asset management to address deferred maintenance costs.
• Use Excel extensively for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Leverage CAMS for asset management tasks.

Job Summary:

The Asset Management Intern will primarily focus on filling out CREFC reports, appraisals, and handling lease commissions.

Duties/responsibilities:

• Fill out CREFC reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist in completing property appraisals and analysis, including reviewing income statements, balance sheets, occupancy rates, and vacancy rates
• Review lease agreements to identify leasing commission obligations, rent payment status, and other financial obligations
• Conduct research on market demand, tenant preferences, rental rates, and building conditions
• Collaborate with the asset management team to access and address deferred maintenance costs
• Utilize Excel extensively for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting
• Make use of CAMS and leverage it for various asset management tasks

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
• Knowledge of commercial real estate industry practices and terminology
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and lease agreements
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Education and Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, real estate, or a related field (or recent graduate)
