Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety; perform regular strenuous manual labor; and safely move heavy items in excess of fifty pounds.
• A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
• High school diploma or GED; basic computer skills in a work environment; experience operating powered and non-powered material-handling equipment; experience assisting with furniture moves, equipment relocations, surplus property, or recycling and reuse programs; strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, customers, and campus departments.
