Job summary

Avista in Spokane, WA is seeking an Asset Management and Central Analytics Analyst to support enterprise initiatives, drive data‑driven change, and deliver dashboards and reports. The role covers requirements gathering, testing, and process improvement across asset management and analytics programs.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience, familiarity with CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, Excel, and SQL, and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• AA degree or two years’ relevant coursework in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field.
• 2+ years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, Excel, or GL Wand.
• Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to analyze problems, data, and reach logical conclusions.
• Ability to create basic queries within a domain.
• Understanding of utility business and operations preferred.
• BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field for higher levels.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience for higher levels.
• Knowledge of CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, MS Office, GL Wand, SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
• Gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
• Evaluate, design, and improve systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and meet business needs.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that support decision‑making across the organization.
• Configure systems, perform testing (unit, integration, UAT), and support implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• Lead or contribute to projects and programs including scoping, planning, execution, and documentation.
• Consult with stakeholders, provide recommendations, communicate findings, and act as a resource to team members.
