Job summary

RSM is seeking an experienced Assurance Partner to lead audit and assurance client relationships within the Asset Management-Private Equity practice in New York. The role focuses on leading engagement teams, managing complex portfolios, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and firm leaders.

You will drive quality, growth, and consistent delivery while mentoring staff and expanding client relationships. The position requires 13+ years of experience and a deep mastery of US GAAP/GAAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license in state of residence.
• 13+ years of progressive public accounting/audit experience.
• Experience leading large, complex audit engagements.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining a substantial client portfolio.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements and client relationships for the Assurance line.
• Manage multiple engagements and project milestones.
• Identify technical accounting matters early and coordinate with firm specialists.
• Review work product, communicate audit status to clients and leadership.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and teams.
• Develop external relationships to support business growth and brand presence.
• Ensure quality, risk management and adherence to firm policies.
