RWE Americas, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Associate in Asset Management to optimize performance of wind, solar and storage assets. You will analyze opportunities in warranty, insurance and tax, support cost-reduction initiatives, and provide detailed reporting.

This office-based role requires a Bachelor's in Business/Finance/Engineering, 1+ year in asset management or related fields, strong financial modeling and MS Office skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Engineering; master's or cert is a plus.
• 1+ years in Asset Management, Insurance, Commercial, Procurement, Tax or Controlling is desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate findings into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Assist Asset Management to drive profitability of wind, solar and storage assets.
• Support development and execution of cost-reduction and performance strategies.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and asset-level financials to identify opportunities and risk.
• Manage relationships through warranty, insurance, tax abatement and related contracts.
• Provide detailed reporting and insights to stakeholders on performance.
• Improve asset management systems and processes across the organization.

RWE Americas’ Asset Management team takes accountability for the commercial success of a >12 GW portfolio of renewable energy assets. Through the close collaboration with Operations & Maintenance and various Financial stakeholders the team drives tactical and strategic initiatives optimizing the performance of all assets.

Role Responsibilities

• The Asset Management Associatewill assist the Asset Management team in driving the profitability of wind, solar, and battery storage assets by analyzing identifying opportunities and solving key problems within Warranty, Insurance, and Property Tax
• The Asset Management Associate will also support the development and execution of cost-reduction or performance optimization strategies
• Financial Management: Assists in the budgeting, forecasting, and asset-level financials to identifiy opportunities and risk
• Contract Management: Manages relationships throughout the warranty process and assists in contract alignment reviews; tracks and analyzes insurance obligations, tax abatement compliances, and warranty-related project scopes
• Reporting: Provides detailed reporting and insights to internal stakeholders on operational and financial performance
• Process Improvements: Implements and continuously improves local asset management systems and processes consistent with organizational policies and standards
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Coordinates across departments to resolve asset-level issues, communicates clearly with cross-functional partners, presents findings in meetings with Asset Manager supervision; establishes collaborative relationships with key support departments such as Operations, Engineering, HSSE, Procurement, and Controlling

Job Requirements and Experiences

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering; Master's degree or professional certification is a plus
• Minimum 1 years of experience in Asset Management, Insurance, Commercial, Procurement, Tax Consulting, or Controlling is highly desirable
• Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into commercial implications
• Applies operational, financial, and contractual knowledge to drive asset performance
• Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables, and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal/external relationships
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
• Coordinates across departments to resolve asset-level issues
• Presents findings in meetings with moderate supervision
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
• Detail-oriented and has a sound understanding of business concepts

Work Environment

This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE Americas offices and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
