DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 11 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 70 renewable energy projects in 24 states.

About The Role

DESRI is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its team as an asset management analyst or associate, with the title to be commensurate based on experience. The role offers the opportunity to participate in the development, acquisition, and management of renewable energy assets within an inclusive and engaging work environment. As part of the Asset Management team, you will impact the performance of assets and the firm’s portfolio, working with a growing team in a dynamic organization to contribute to renewable energy projects and a sustainable future.

What You'll Do
  • Manage financial performance, optimize operational efficiency, monitor contract compliance, and prepare counterparty reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and assess financial health of assets.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Develop strategies to improve asset reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure safety and industry compliance.
  • Monitor revenue, operating costs, and budgets; prepare financial reports and forecasts.
  • Manage contracts, monitor compliance, and collaborate on negotiations.
  • Analyze KPIs and develop strategies to maximize energy output and extend asset lifespan.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to leverage new opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, business administration, or related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Passion for optimization, with proven experience in asset management, operations, or project management within renewable energy.
  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy technologies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly to assets, participate in team and stakeholder meetings.
Additional Details
  • Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually.
