Job summary

Eastman, headquartered in Kingsport, TN, seeks an Asset Integrity professional to support implementation of AI standards and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing sites. You will work with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve AI issues and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a technical engineering degree and at least 2 years in Asset Integrity, with familiarity in chemical/petrochemical settings and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials) from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of Asset Integrity experience.
  • Experience in chemical or petrochemical manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred (not required).
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and non-destructive examination technologies (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with manufacturing site personnel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of Asset Integrity standards and procedures at sites.
  • Support AI inspection teams and governance councils with continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide AI stewardship to ensure compliance with local, federal, regulatory and Corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Process Safety, and Engineering to resolve AI issues.
  • Develop knowledge of Eastman’s engineering and process safety processes (LOPA, MOC, EBI, etc.).
  • Develop and standardize metrics and dashboards to improve AI visibility for site leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation of Corporate Asset Integrity (AI) standards and procedures. Serve as a resource/mentor for manufacturing sites with the development and implementation of asset integrity programs (inspection & testing programs, recommendation management, deferrals, etc.)
  • Support TNO Asset Integrity inspection teams and TNO Asset Integrity Governance Council with continuous improvement opportunities to enable zero overdue inspections and recommendations.
  • Provide AI stewardship to ensure compliance with local, federal, regulatory and Corporate standards
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Process Safety, and Engineering teams to provide technical support to identify and resolve issues related to Asset Integrity programs
  • Develop a general knowledge of applicable Asset Integrity related policies, regulations, and industry standards
  • Support the development and standardization of metrics and dashboards to improve visibility to site leaders and stewards of AI programs
  • Assist with the development of training and education of manufacturing site personnel on procedures, practices, and fundamental requirements of an AI program
  • Develop an understanding of Eastman’s engineering and process safety processes (LOPA, MOC, EBI, etc.)
  • Perform data mining and analysis, partnering with Corporate reliability resources as appropriate
  • Participate in external benchmarking to understand industry best practices
  • Occasional travel to domestic and international manufacturing sites to assist with site asset integrity programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials preferred) from an accredited institution is required
  • At least 2 years of Asset Integrity experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing setting with broad understanding of operational needs and issues across the site highly preferred
  • Experience with mechanical integrity programs highly preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred (not required)
  • General knowledge of chemical industry engineering techniques, codes, and standards related to Asset Integrity (preferred)
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and non-destructive examination technologies (preferred)
  • Familiar with risk management and process safety concepts
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and consultation skills. This position will interact with personnel at the manufacturing sites and in various support organizations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to compile and analyze complex data
  • Willingness to expand technical expertise in Asset Integrity and develop in-depth knowledge of related industry codes & standards
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues and work in partnership with Manufacturing and other stakeholders to build sustainable programs
