Job summary

SouthState Bank in Atlanta, GA seeks an Asset Based Lending Sales Associate/Analyst to support business development, underwriting and client relationship activities for asset-based facilities of $10M+.

The role requires a B.A. degree and about 2 years in commercial or asset-based lending, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel. Travel and compliance training are part of the job; on-site work at our Piedmont Rd locations.

Qualifications

• Education: B.A. Degree required; Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in Commercial Lending and/or Asset Based Lending is preferred.
• Certifications/Knowledge: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, good understanding of financial statements, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong Excel and basic modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist business development, underwriting and relationship teams in sourcing and management of asset-based facilities of $10M+.
• Spread financial statements and determine risk ratings using bank templates and prepare projections models.
• Create and update loan requests in the Bank’s loan production software.
• Monitor and analyze operating/financial performance and collateral trends using financial statements, field exams, appraisals, and borrowing bases.
• Update loan requests for existing customers in the Bank’s loan production software.
• Provide industry research and create and update prospect and client information in various proprietary databases.
