Job summary

Rain for Rent is seeking an Accountant II to manage fixed asset and rental asset accounting, including depreciation, transfers, disposals, and asset reporting. The role emphasizes asset lifecycle accounting and reconciliation activities.

The successful candidate will support ASC 842 compliance, daily cash management, and close processes, collaborating with treasury and AP. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration or related field required
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible accounting and financial record-keeping experience required
• Experience with fixed assets and rental assets accounting preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for fixed assets and rental fleet assets.
• Process asset additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
• Monitor construction-in-progress activity and asset placement.
• Prepare depreciation calculations and asset reporting schedules.
• Support rental fleet accounting and asset audits.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end close support schedules.
• Assist with cash management and wire transfer coordination.
• Support cash reporting and funding activities.
• Collaborate with Accounting leadership and treasury functions.
