Essential Job Duties | The North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies (NCICS) is seeking an Assessments Editor and Production Coordinator to help coordinate the editorial, figure development, and production tasks of the Assessments Technical Support Unit (TSU) at NCICS. This person will work closely with the Assessment Production Manager, the Scientific Graphics Quality Coordinator, and editorial, science, and visual communications staff at the TSU to support of the development and publication of scientific assessment reports and associated communications products, the NCICS State Climate Summaries, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group III contribution to the Seventh Assessment Report, and an assessment of nature and its benefits to the United States. This person will use project management and communication skills and tools to coordinate and track the development of report chapters and hundreds of scientific figures and infographics across multiple TSU teams, external author teams, and other partners.
