Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Oklahoma City seeks an Assessment Therapist for overnight coverage to support intake, scheduling, and triage to appropriate community referrals. You will work with the clinical team to ensure timely assessments for patients with substance use, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric needs.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, current licensure, CPR and de-escalation certification, and strong assessment and customer-service skills.

• Maintains pre-admission and admission paperwork with accuracy and completes pre-certification with insurers.
• Coordinates with clinical team and on-call physician to ensure needs are met at the facility or with community providers.

Essential Functions

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including the initial response, the assessment, and referral process, the designation of the appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow up activity
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
• Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA
• Maintains all pre-admission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes all pre-certification with insurance companies with insurance companies

Additional Information

• FLSA Status: None Exempt
• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
• OVERNIGHT- THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION, 7p-7a Sun., Mon., Tues., or 7p-7a Mon., Tues., Wed., or 7p-7a Thurs., Fri., Sat. exact schedule will be discussed during the interview

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education: Master's degree in social work or counseling required.

License: Current clinical, social work, or license as required by state regulations.
