Job summary

Instructure is seeking a Mathematics Assessment Content Editor to collaborate with assessment designers, writers and copy editors to create, review, format and revise test items aligned to state mathematics standards and grade-level appropriateness.

You will review assessments across multiple grade levels and content areas, ensure alignment with state standards, and contribute to item banks and standardized assessments in partnership with an educational provider or state programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in secondary mathematics or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience developing student assessment content products (as a writer or editor), including item banks and standardized assessments, with an educational provider or at the state level.
  • Mastery level understanding of mathematics student curriculum expectations and state learning standards (expertise in Secondary Mathematics content strongly preferred).
  • Experience working within an assessment management system to author and edit tech-enhanced and traditional items.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver who appropriately gives and receives constructive feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a strict code of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined work style.
