The GEO Group is seeking an Assessment Counselor to administer intake screening and assessment services for inmates to determine eligibility for substance abuse treatment. You will interview inmates, review case files, and prepare detailed assessment reports for program placement, coordinating with GEO management and supervising agencies.

Responsibilities include administering and interpreting assessments, collecting data through interviews, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Administers, scores, and interprets a variety of assessments with inmates.
• Interviews participants to collect data for assessment.
• Prepares written reports based on assessment results and testing tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
