Root Center For Advanced Recovery in Torrington, CT, is seeking an Assessment Counselor II to perform full counseling and clinical duties, including screening, assessment, and treatment planning for clients with substance use and related disorders.

The role requires a Master’s degree with CT licensure eligibility and licensure expected within 2 years, with a comprehensive benefits package and a 35-hour workweek. Sign-on and annual bonuses are available for Counselor I/II levels.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree for CT licensure eligibility.
• Professional licensure expected within 2 years.

Responsabilités

• Informs clients of admission procedures and determines eligibility for admission.
• Conducts client assessments and gathers relevant information from outside agencies.
• Develops treatment plans with goals and action steps.
• Schedules appointments and administers urinalysis testing.
• Refer or enroll clients to related programs and assist with financial applications.
• Completes routine reports, releases of information, treatment plans, progress notes, and other paperwork.
• Facilitates individual, family, and group counseling.
• Participates in team meetings and training sessions.
• Covers front desk and manages insurance authorizations.
• Adheres to regulatory and funding standards.
