Job summary

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) is seeking a Student Assessment Coordinator in Yakima, WA to collaborate with faculty across health programs. You will build and review performance-based assessments, assign graders, proctor exams, and ensure accuracy of reports while upholding confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on detail, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with faculty to build, review and code assessments.
• Proctor student assessments and troubleshoot software/testing devices.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy compliance.
• Obtain and maintain NCTA Proctor Certification.

Job Type Full-time Description Recruitment Period: 08/25/2026 - Until Filled Status: Full-Time, 40 hours/week Salary Information: Annual Minimum Salary-$41,600-Annual Maximum Salary-$54,000 Hiring Range: $20.00-$23.80 Salary Is Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience. Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary: Responsibilities include working with faculty across multiple health sciences programs to build, review, and code performance-based and objective assessments; assigning graders; proctoring assessments; following assessment guidelines; generating reports; overseeing assigned assessment activities; and providing general assessment support for students and faculty. Timely communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, and sound judgment are requirements of the Student Assessment Coordinator.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinates directly with faculty to build assessments in a timely manner, reviewing assessment items to identify any potential issues related to presentation, content, grammar, or structure.
• Proctors student assessments, ensuring compliance to assessment process and procedure and troubleshooting issues related to software and testing devices.
• Generates and maintains accurate assessment reports following each assessment.
• Appropriately administers assessments to individuals with approved accommodations.
• Continuously provides quality customer service to all students and employees who need assistance.
• Understands and adheres to strict confidentiality requirements.
• Obtains and maintains NCTA Proctor Certification.
• Understands and adheres to strict confidentially requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

Education and Experience

• Required: A Bachelor's Degree AND 1-3 years of relevant experience, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.
