Job summary

Christian Brothers University in Memphis seeks an experienced Assessment Coordinator to drive assessment, accreditation, data quality, and continuous improvement across educator-preparation programs. Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in education, educational leadership, assessment and evaluation, research methods, data analytics, or a closely related field.
• Experience in assessment, program evaluation, accreditation, institutional research, compliance reporting, or educational data systems, preferably in educator preparation or higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to improve data-collection and reporting processes, analyze quantitative and qualitative evidence, create clear visualizations, and translate findings into action.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and experience with data visualization, survey, database, assessment-management, student-information, learning-management, or reporting tools.
• Excellent writing, editing, facilitation, project-management, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage confidential information and competing deadlines with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Education seeks a collaborative, analytical, and systems-minded Assessment Coordinator to lead assessment, accreditation, data quality, and continuous-improvement activities across undergraduate and graduate educator-preparation programs. The Coordinator will build and maintain an integrated quality assurance system that produces accurate, timely, disaggregated, and actionable evidence for program improvement; CAEP accreditation; Tennessee Department of Education approval, annual reporting, and comprehensive review; Title II reporting; and institutional decision-making.

Working with education department faculty, program directors, clinical partners, completers, and employers will strengthen assessment quality, manage evidence, facilitate data-informed decisions, and document improvement. The position will also support graduate-program growth through recruitment analytics, pipeline monitoring, outreach, and clear communication of program value and outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment Systems and Continuous Improvement

• Design, implement, document, and continuously improve a unit-wide quality assurance and assessment system aligned with program outcomes, CAEP expectations, Tennessee requirements, professional standards, and institutional priorities.
• Maintain an assessment architecture that maps courses, clinical experiences, key assessments, benchmarks, standards, data sources, responsible parties, reporting cycles, and evidence of improvement.
• Coordinate the administration, collection, scoring, storage, and review of program- and provider-level assessments for initial and advanced programs.
• Establish assessment calendars, submission protocols, data dictionaries, standard operating procedures, and dashboards; lead recurring data-review cycles and document decisions, actions, and results.

Accreditation State Approval and Reporting

• Coordinate evidence and reporting for CAEP, Tennessee Department of Education approval and comprehensive review, Title II, annual reports, specialty-professional requirements, and related institutional expectations.
• Maintain crosswalks connecting CAEP standards, Tennessee policies and standards, program standards, institutional outcomes, and required evidence.
• Manage a secure, audit-ready evidence repository with version control, source verification, retention procedures, and a clear trail from data to claims and improvement decisions.
• Draft, edit, and quality-check self-study narratives, reports, exhibits, tables, and reviewer responses; manage timelines, readiness reviews, mock audits, action logs, and follow-up.
• Facilitate accreditation meetings, workshops, and technical-assistance sessions for faculty, staff, advisory groups, school partners, completers, and other stakeholders.

Data Management, Analytics and Governance

• Integrate and reconcile data from student-information, learning-management, clinical-practice, survey, licensure, completer, employer, recruitment, and state sources.
• Develop repeatable validation and quality-control routines addressing completeness, accuracy, duplication, definitions, permissions, and reporting consistency.
• Analyze and disaggregate candidate, completer, clinical, enrollment, persistence, licensure, employment, and performance data to identify strengths, gaps, equity patterns, and emerging priorities.
