Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital in Bowling Green, KY seeks a qualified professional to manage inquiry intake, initial assessments, and patient disposition in coordination with the Medical Director. This role supports urgent psychiatric care with strong emphasis on safety and compliance.
The candidate will perform assessments, coordinate admissions with psychiatrists and staff, handle precertifications, and communicate with referral sources while adhering to hospital policies.

Rivendell is a 149 inpatient psychiatric hospital located in the heart of Bowling Green, KY on a 49 acre campus. At Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital, children who are in crisis receive psychiatric care. Teens suffering from depression, disabling anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or suicide can learn new ways to cope. Teens and adults suffering from chemical dependency and substance abuse can get help. Senior adults in need of psychiatric treatment for early onset of dementia, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide and behavioral problems are treated in a positive, secure and compassionate environment.
Responsible for tracking of all inquiry calls, completion of initial assessment to determine level of care, insurance pre-certification, and following the patient to the appropriate disposition in consultation with the Medical Director or his designee.
Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field or Master’s Degree in Social Work with certification. Can also be a registered nurse with Kentucky License.
Training and Experience: Five years experience and knowledge in the area of mental health.
Knowledge required: Knowledge of assessment and crisis intervention, telephone and communication skills.
