Job summary

Shelby County Schools seeks a leader in Assessment and Accountability to guide a multifaceted testing program across district, state, and federal assessments with a high level of competency and innovative problem solving.

You will work collaboratively with professionals, supervise testing operations, ensure confidentiality of student results, prepare narrative and statistical reports, and guide the transition to online assessments with compliance to standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Measurement, Educational Research, Evaluation, Statistics or a related area plus an additional 5 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 9 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and ingenuity in Assessment and Accountability for managing a multifaceted testing program, including district, state, and federal assessments.
• Collaborates with other professionals and management to achieve system-wide results; may lead a team.
• Addresses unusually complex problems with innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Directs preparation and maintenance of narrative and statistical reports and files; conducts appropriate research and reporting as needed.
• Supervises testing programs and ensures confidentiality of student test results and related information.
• Consults with state department of education officials on federal and state testing requirements and results.
• Plans for transition to online assessments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
