Located in Avon, OH, this position offers a compensation of $22 per hour for the 2nd shift, which runs from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. As an Assembly Worker, you will play a vital role in the precise and timely construction and testing of our products to meet client expectations. Your daily tasks will involve subassembly work, lockwiring, and final detailing under the direction of a supervisor. You will also be encouraged to support our ongoing lean manufacturing efforts to help drive efficiency and cost savings.
Core Duties
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment to complete assembly and testing tasks within the production facility.
- Document testing outcomes on required forms using flow meters and electrical testing devices.
- Review and follow technical documentation, including blueprints, engineering orders, and quality standards, to ensure accuracy.
- Help maintain high standards of quality by ensuring every finished assembly meets customer and industry specifications.
- Apply finishes to components, including mixing paints and performing touch-up or full-surface painting.
- Contribute to the success of the team by suggesting improvements for lean manufacturing processes.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all safety protocols and keeping the workspace free of debris.
- Verify that all tools and equipment remain within their designated calibration schedules.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a High school diploma or GED.
- Up to one year of experience in a mechanical role.
- Showcase your ability to apply new technical knowledge to your daily tasks.
- Demonstrate the capacity to choose the correct tools and methods for specific assignments.
- Read and interpret technical documents such as route sheets and blueprints.
- Use basic math and clear communication skills to document work and interact with others.
