Job summary

RTX in Florida is seeking an Assembly and Test Inspector for its MRO Commercial Engine Center. This 1st shift, onsite role focuses on functional checks of engine assemblies and components using power and precision measuring tools.

You will review engineering drawings, perform dimensional/visual inspections, and document results while following inspection procedures and safety standards. Experience with Solumina or SFWF is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • 2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing.
  • A & P License.
  • Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components.
  • Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.
  • Verify accuracy of parts, tools, gauges, or other equipment through surface plate work or standard measuring techniques.

Job Summary:

This is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Inspector in our MRO Commercial Engine Center.

This is a 1st Shift.

This is a Labor Grade 3.

What You Will Do

Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components

Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.

This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment.

The Inspector will be accepting or rejecting material based on findings.

Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings.

Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.

Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings.

Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines.

Program instructions are well-defined will be checking dimensions and record results.

Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.

Follow Proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed.

May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.
