Job summary

Pratt & Whitney West Palm Beach seeks an Assembly and Test Inspector for a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-midnight) with a 10% shift differential. You will inspect engine assemblies and components using power tools and precise measuring instruments, following established procedures.

The role requires high school graduation, 2 years of power-plant mechanics and testing training, and ideally an A&P license. You will work with Solumina/SFWF and on-site safety standards in a dynamic aerospace

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • 2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing.
  • A&P License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.

Job Summary:

This is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Inspector in our MRO Commercial Engine Center.

This is a 2nd Shift Monday -Friday 3:30pm to Midnight. There is a 10 % shift differential offered on 2nd shift.

This is a Labor Grade 5.

What You Will Do

Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components

Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.

This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment.

The Inspector will be accepting or rejecting material based on findings.

Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings.

Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.

Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings.

Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines.

Program instructions are well-defined will be checking dimensions and record results.

Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.

Follow Proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed.

May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.

Borescope experience

Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment

Experience working with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs.

Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles
