Husky Technologies is seeking an Assembly Technician (Refurbishment) at our Milton, Vermont facility to inspect, repair and restore customer-owned hot runner systems used in injection molding applications. Work from drawings and standard procedures to return equipment to peak condition with high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect and evaluate hot runner systems and components received from customers.
• Document inspection findings and identify components requiring repair, refurbishment or rework.
• Clean, repair, rebuild and reassemble mechanical components according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Install, fit and adjust components to ensure proper fit, form and function.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and fixtures safely and effectively.
• Perform product testing, inspections and heat testing to verify quality and performance.
• Identify equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting mechanical problems.
• Complete production, inspection and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and safe condition.
• Communicate quality, tooling, repair or assembly concerns to supervisors and team members.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production, quality and delivery objectives.

Job Description

Salary Range: $23 - $26 per hour

As an Assembly Technician on our Refurbishment team, you will inspect, repair, rebuild, test and restore customer-owned hot runner systems used in industry-leading injection molding applications. Working from drawings, work instructions and standardized procedures, you will help return equipment to peak operating condition while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, service and workmanship.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy troubleshooting problems, working with tools, taking pride in quality workmanship and restoring complex equipment to like-new condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, inspect and evaluate hot runner systems and components received from customers.
• Document inspection findings and identify components requiring repair, replacement, refurbishment or rework.
• Clean, repair, rebuild and reassemble mechanical components according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Install, fit and adjust components to ensure proper fit, form and function.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and fixtures safely and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, maintenance, repair, construction, machining or other mechanical trades
• Experience disassembling, diagnosing, repairing or rebuilding mechanical equipment
• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical systems
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings or assembly documents
• Crane or forklift experience
• Technical education, vocational training, apprenticeship or manufacturing certificate
• Ability to work a variety of shifts if required
