Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group in Saginaw, MI, is seeking Entry Level Assemblers to support daily production operations. You will inspect parts, load/unload machinery, and ensure accurate labeling and paperwork to keep the line running smoothly.

Candidates should be able to drive a forklift, use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers, follow inventory procedures, and thrive in a team environment. This on-site full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to grow in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Ability to follow inventory control procedures and quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection of production parts.
• Inspection of incoming material to ensure quality specs.
• Load/unload parts into/from machinery and pack parts as specified.
• Operate various assembly machinery.
• Move product through the plant and coordinate with materials for inventory control.
• Prepare containers for shipment with labels and weight tickets.
• Maintain quality of all production parts on the line.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
• Complete and update all paperwork daily.

Description

Amsted Automotive Group propulsion system in Saginaw is looking for Entry Level Assemblers. The Assembler is responsible for supporting the daily assembly operations of the plant.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Visualinspection of production parts.
• Inspection of incoming material to insure quality specifications of outside processing is obtained.
• Load/unload parts into/from machinery and pack parts as specified by the customer.
• Responsible for operating various assembly machinery.
• Move product throughout the plant from one operation to the next and work closely with materials department for inventory control processes
• Prepare containers for shipment with appropriate labels and weight tickets.
• Responsibly for quality of all production parts produced in their respective line.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
• Responsible to fully complete and update all paperwork on a daily basis.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Must be able to drive a fork truck.
• Must be capable of using inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.
• Must be able to use scanning equipment and to follow inventory control procedures.
• Ability to workin a team environment is essential to work in this position.
