Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and PTS scan all incoming materials to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
• Verify quantities of materials to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify and correlate materials with job orders to ensure all components are available for production.
• Assign and PTS scan materials to designated locations to maintain organized workflow.
• Collaborate with planners to complete all scheduled jobs and ensure timely production, fulfillment of requirements.
• Enter remakes for missing bars or housing materials to address shortages and maintain production continuity.
• Inspect material for completeness and quality.
• Comply with safety policies and WSRA regulations; operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Train and mentor new employees on kitting processes and procedures.
• Flexibly assist in other kitting areas as needed to support smooth operations.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician III (Kitter) to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Lake Greenwood, SC location. Hourly Rate: Starting at $20.94

Position Overview:

The Assembly Kitter will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling and organizing components into orders to supply the production line to improve assembly efficiency.

In this function you will:

• Receive, sort, and PTS scan all incoming materials already delivered to a staging location to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
• Verify quantities of materials to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Verify and correlate materials with job orders (GO#) to ensure all necessary components are available for production.
• Assign and PTS scan materials to designated locations upon movement to maintain organized and efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with planners to complete all scheduled jobs, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of production requirements.
• Enter remakes for missing bars or housing materials to address shortages and maintain production continuity.
• Inspect material for completeness and quality.
• Comply with all safety policies/procedures and WSRA’s.
• Operate a forklift proficiently to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility.
• Perform other job duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support overall operations.
• Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train and mentor new employees on the kitting processes and procedures to ensure a well-prepared team.
• Flexibility to assist in other areas of kitting as needed, supporting various functions to maintain smooth operations.
