Job summary

Tempur Sealy in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking an Assembly Technician to join the production team. The role covers installing netting, covers, labeling, boxing, tub building, and bed assembly, while creating a safe work environment.

You will operate automated assembly equipment, perform quality inspections at each step, and adapt to different stations as production needs require. The position offers $20.80 per hour, with potential overtime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PC usage including Windows and data entry
• Fork Truck certification a plus
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables
• Ability to prepare routine reports as required
• Overtime on short notice may be required

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a zero-incident culture
• Lead by example and promote a positive environment
• Maintain efficient operation of product and equipment
• Wrap mattress with protective covering and sew ends of covering
• Insert wrapped mattress into consumer-ready textiles
• Seal covered mattress, label and package for shipping
• Box and strap finished mattress for shipping
• Work at different stations as production needs require
• Operate automated assembly equipment and troubleshoot as needed
• Maintain clean work area and assist with other assembly tasks
• Perform quality inspections at each step to ensure standards
• Learn and follow netting, covers, boxing, and labeling processes
• Assist in training other associates according to procedures
