Job summary

Carrier in Charlotte, NC is seeking a manufacturing assembler to join our production team. You will safely operate power tools, assemble components to meet quality specs, and learn multiple stations within the department.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in manufacturing assembly with ability to read blueprints and work instructions. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication across shifts; overtime and weekend hours may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly.
  • 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power tools safely to assemble components according to quality specs.
  • Perform various functions following prescribed procedures in assembly and testing.
  • Assemble components on time and per quality specifications.
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate changes effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and assist with department housekeeping.
  • Maintain high standards for productivity, quality and safety.
  • Be willing to learn multiple stations within the department.
  • OT and weekend hours may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate power tools to ensure precise assembly, prevent defects and minimize risk of injury
  • Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing.
  • Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications.
  • Identify improvement areas and effectively communicate ways to implement change.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping.
  • High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department.
  • Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly
  • 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
