Job summary

Menasha Corporation's ORBIS operation in Mentor, OH seeks an Assembly Associate to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You will assemble packaging interiors, use hand tools and equipment, and support safety, quality, and delivery goals across multiple cells.

Qualifications

• Ability to read print drawings and use a tape measure accurately.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in assembly manufacturing and/or as a machine operator.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to print drawings and work instructions.
• Insert completed assemblies into plastic containers.
• Perform self and peer quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
• Rotate between different work cells and machines as needed during the shift.
• Verify correct parts and materials against work orders prior to assembly.
• Calculate cycle time (takt time) to support production requirements.
• Safely and effectively use basic hand tools, including rivet gun, handheld sonic welder, hot air welder, glue gun and glue line, manual hot wire bender.
• Develop operational knowledge of additional equipment, including baler, drill press, band saw.
• Successfully complete required training, including: Print Drawing Training, Tape Measure Training, 17–21 Day Training Program.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork related to assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE in accordance with STW documentation.
• Actively participate in CI, 5S, and STW initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
