Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Searcy, Arkansas is seeking an Assembler to join our team on a 1st shift. The role involves assembling valves per customer specifications, ensuring on-time delivery, and meeting productivity and quality targets.

You will work from detailed drawings, inspect parts, perform fittings and tests, and assist with finishing tasks as needed. Prior assembly experience is helpful, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1st Shift position with emphasis on meeting due dates and quality.
• 6–12 months general assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and align precision assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Work from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Inspect parts for finish and dimensions.
• Test and adjust assemblies to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate build tickets with valves to be shipped in shipping dept.
• Inspect, deburr, and clean valve components as needed.
• Assist with painting according to prescribed methods.

The primary function is to assemble valves according to customers’ requirements, be responsible for due dates of customer orders to meet plant measurements (service level, productivity, scrap and first pass yield). Actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by yourself, the facility and Danfoss.

The primary function is to assemble valves according to customers’ requirements, be responsible for due dates of customer orders to meet plant measurements (service level, productivity, scrap and first pass yield). Actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by yourself, the facility and Danfoss. This is a 1st Shift position.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Assemble and erect precision assemblies and sub-assemblies having close tolerances and critical - operating requirements where fitting, alignment and adjustment of components, units and completed assembly are critical.
• Work from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
• Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions, check and test sub-assemblies and units.
• Perform fitting, adjusting, calibrating, and aligning to ensure free action and movement of parts, tolerance fits and operating requirements.
• Air test valves before final test and assists in packing out completed valves, coordinates build ticket number with valves to be shipped in shipping department.
• May be assigned to manually inspect, clean, and deburr both interior and exterior of valve bodies and covers by utilizing hand tools to remove particles from inside the valve body.
• May be assigned to prepare and apply paint according to prescribed methods.

What We're Looking For

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Six (6) to 12 months general assembly experience to become familiar with methods, parts, products, tools and equipment used and to attain dexterity and proficiency requirement.

Position Criteria

• Must be able to work from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments, testing devices and equipment to check parts, unit, fits and operating requirements.
• Use hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures.
• Ability to read blueprints and bill of materials.
