Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Assembly Operator III–V to support fiber optic cable assembly, termination, and testing in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working with small components while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.

You will assemble, polish, and test fiber optic cables, terminate single and multi-fiber assemblies, and support prototype builds and NPI activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Fiber optic manufacturing experience required.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small, delicate components.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, polish, and test fiber optic cables and connector components.
• Perform termination of single and multi-fiber cable assemblies.
• Support prototype builds, test builds, and NPI activities as needed.
• Operate equipment including fiber routers and over-molding machinery.
• Measure components using calipers, gauges, and other tools.
• Complete required documentation to ensure product traceability.
• Inspect work using quality standards, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
• Follow proper cleaning and contamination control procedures for optical assembly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and suggest process improvements.
