Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Assembly Technician for a full-time contract position lasting 6-12 months, located in Orlando, FL, 32804 (onsite).

As an Assembly Technician, you will:

  • Perform soldering tasks, including soldering components, configuring cabling, and wiring.
  • Assemble mechanical or electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, or final products in a repetitive and precise manner.
  • Build wiring harnesses, perform PCB assembly, and work with electrical and electro-optical subassemblies.
  • Use hand tools such as long nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, wrenches, and wire strippers.
  • Crimp cables using a wide range of tools (e.g., hand crimping tools).
  • Work with RTV, epoxy, and other adhesives/bonding materials.
  • Follow engineered assembly processes, including adjustments, fitting, or alignment of parts as needed.
  • Read and comply with work instructions, safety rules, and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Perform visual inspections for defects and conduct functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals.
  • Conduct quality inspections at specified intervals and report deviations from standards.
  • Maintain consistent quality and productivity levels.
  • Use Microsoft Office programs for documentation and communication.
  • Identify problems and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team to accomplish tasks and support group objectives for on-time delivery.
  • Verify use of the most updated procedures and follow industry standards such as 6S.
  • Transport materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate’s degree with 0–2 years of related experience.
  • 2 years of experience with basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers).
  • 2 years of experience in computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email navigation.
  • 1 year of experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions.
  • 1 year of experience using a microscope for extended periods.
  • J-STD soldering experience.
  • Experience with manual labor tasks.

Pay Range: $23-$25 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and more.
