Job summary

Persistent Systems, LLC in New York City is seeking an Assembly Technician with experience in electromechanical assembly and cable making. You will join a production team responsible for final assembly of Wave Relay® products and will gain exposure to the full assembly process while upholding the company’s quality and safety standards.

The role includes soldering, crimping, cable-making, and other assembly tasks, following established processes, assisting with testing and deployment, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with assembly tools and materials; must have soldering and cable making experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical background.
• Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment; electronics preferred.
• Position requires strong manual dexterity, including both gross and fine manipulation; ability to assemble products by hand.
• Working knowledge of computer software, including word processing, Internet, and e-mail.
• Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field
• Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated experience with quality control and facilitating continuous process improvement

Total compensation for this role is $25.50 an hour based on individual qualifications. Eligible for discretionary bonus.
