Job summary

Strange Engineering in Morton Grove, IL is seeking an assembler to apply experience and technical skill to assemble precision racing components for professional drag racing and NASCAR applications.

You will read drawings, inspect parts, and work with team members to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have mechanical assembly experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience (automotive or related industry preferred).
  • Strong measuring and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently assemble complex products such as shocks, steering boxes, master cylinders, and brake systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings or build sheets
  • Inspect and verify components for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain organized inventory and contribute to process improvements
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Summary
