You’ll use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete work, verify parts, and document production steps. The team values quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble gears and related components according to work instructions and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete tasks.
  • Verify parts are correctly assembled before proceeding to next step.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects or missing components.
  • Complete production and assembly documentation accurately.
  • Maintain organized parts, tools and workstations; follow safety and procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns or shortages to leadership.
  • Support inventory organization and other production areas as needed.

Job Overview

In this entry‑level role, you’ll be focused on the assembly and machining of Third Members and gear components. The Gear Assembler is responsible for assembling gear sets and related components according to established work instructions, specifications, and quality standards. This role focuses on performing repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

  • Assemble gears and related components according to work instructions and established specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete assigned work.
  • Verify parts and components are correctly assembled before moving to the next production step.
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects, damage, or missing components.
  • Accurately complete production and assembly documentation as required.
  • Maintain organization of parts, tools, and workstations.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns, material shortages, or process issues to leadership.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material handling as needed.
  • Support other production areas as business needs require.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly and rarely push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and production‑related hazards; use of PPE required.
  • May involve overtime work based on production needs.
  • Work environment is fast‑paced and may include fluctuating temperatures and airborne particles.
  • Ability to safely operate assembly tools and equipment.
What You’ll Need To Succeed In This Position
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling or related experience preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills.
