Job summary

Burkert USA Corp in Huntersville, NC is seeking an assembler to prep and complete assemblies, calibrations and testing of customized flow control solutions at our Systemhaus facility.

You will interpret SOPs and BOMs, use hand and power tools and measurement instruments, and ensure compliance with Burkert quality standards while collaborating with engineers and production staff. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are expected daily.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is helpful.
  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test product on assigned assembly line.
  • Interpret SOPs and BOM to prepare assemblies.
  • Use hand and power tools and measurement instruments.
  • Ensure quality per Burkert standards and document results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers.
  • Troubleshoot production issues to maintain continuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Summary:
  • This role is responsible for prepping and completing assemblies, calibrations, and testing of customized flow control solutions at our Systemhaus factory in Huntersville, NC. Duties include interpreting standard operating procedures, component verification and inspection, assembling components into mechanical systems in preparation for shipping to customer. Additional responsibilities include interpreting bill of materials, assembly, test and operating instructions/manuals in support of customized electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Understand and use basic hand tools, power tools, and measurement instrumentation..
  • Assembles and tests product within assigned assembly line, while adhering to Burkert Quality Standards.
  • Good communication and problem solving
  • The ability to think creatively, collaboratively, and flexibly.
  • Ability to learn and work with proprietary computer software for testing / quality assurance
  • Ability to verify and validate the production/assembly processes as per procedures.
  • Responsible to learn, troubleshoot, and resolve production lines issues to ensure production continuity.
  • Strong ability to read test bench software and understand setups
  • Contribute to product quality by providing the necessary tools, documentation, information and corrective actions per Burkert quality policy and procedures.
  • Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional design engineers/leads as well as communicate effectively with management and peers.
  • Possess personal organizational skills, follow company assembly procedures, maintain assembly documentation in a proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • EDUCATION and EXPERIENCETwo (2) years-experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is helpful, but not required.

  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Able to work closely within a team and contribute individually
  • English – ability to converse and understand written and spoken instructions.
