Job summary

Allegion in Everett, WA is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble aluminum and wood door components, operate hand tools and light machinery, and ensure on-time delivery with quality checks. The role is full-time, with daytime hours and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Training provided; prior assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful but not strictly required. Strong communication and basic computer skills are desirable as you work in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Entry level position. 1+ years of assembly or other manufacturing experienced preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts preferred.
• Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
• Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret product nomenclature, including working from drawings, pick lists, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Prepare and fulfill orders as according to the order specification.
• Operate hand tools, such as grinders, saws, drills, pneumatic nail guns, sanders, and more.
• Perform finishing responsibilities for the product, including quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and levels.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Prioritize and handle materials to ensure on-time-delivery to the customer per requirements.

Assembly Technician - AD Systems - Everett, WA

The Assembly Technician at AD Systems is responsible for assembling and preparing products for shipment to the customer. This role primarily works with machines and hand tools to assemble aluminum and wood door components. The role may include support of material handling, quality control, and material packaging. Assembly Technicians may operate machinery, such as forklifts, nail guns, hand drills, and more.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

What You Will Do:

Physical Demands:

• Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
• Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
• Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
• Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Lift Assist Devices: Use of overhead crane and forklift with training may be required.
• Environmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Respirator, fall protection, welding hood, etc. may be required depending on job duty and/or work area

• Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.
• The expected Base Hourly Range: $21 - $23. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
