Job summary

Kistler Group is seeking an Assembly Technician in Buffalo, NY to carry out assembly, testing, calibration, and inspection of Kistler products under supervision. The role supports production with close collaboration with engineering and supervision.

Responsibilities include soldering, fastening, bonding, inspection, calibration, and operating tools and test equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and strong teamwork and communication skills, and be comfortable working with

Qualifications

  • Ability to organize daily work activities according to supervisor instruction.
  • Work independently or in a team environment.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • See through and work at a binocular microscope for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test products according to product documentation (assembly instructions, test procedures, engineering drawings, etc.).
  • Perform assembly operations such as soldering, mechanical fastening, and/or adhesive bonding under a microscope using small tools (tweezers, soldering irons, etc.).
  • Ensure product quality by performing visual inspections, functional tests, and/or calibrations.
  • Basic operation of equipment necessary to assemble, test, and/or calibrate transducers (welders, bead blasters, shakers, oscilloscopes, etc.).

Purpose of the Position

An Assembly Technician at Kistler Instrument Corp performs all the assembly, testing, calibration, and/or inspection operations required to manufacture Kistler products. They work under guidance of the Production Supervisor and collaborate closely with production engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test products according to product documentation (assembly instructions, test procedures, engineering drawings, etc.)
