Beaumont Manufacturing is seeking an Assembly Technician to support our Production team on-site in Beaumont. You will assemble mechanical parts according to engineering specifications, read blueprints, and use handheld tools to build finished products.

You will maintain workstation inventory, perform quality checks, and help ensure safety and cleanliness at the worksite, contributing to on-time production goals.

JOB SUMMARY

The Assembly Technician plays a critical role in our manufacturing operations. Working under the direction of the Assembly Lead, this position is responsible for assembling mechanical parts, components, and finished products according to engineering specifications. The role involves interpreting technical documentation, utilizing various tools and equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining efficient workstation inventory to support production goals.

POSITION DETAILS

Department: Production

Reports To: Assembly Lead

Location: On-site, Beaumont

Type: Full-Time

Travel Required: 0%

Compensation: $14-$18/hr.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Utilize handheld tools.
  • Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
  • Perform quality work checks and testing to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Package product for shipping.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical background or assembly experience preferred.
  • Basic reading comprehension and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
  • Ability to analyze/improve the efficiency of a process.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES
  • Regularly lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks with sustained focus
  • Manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with variable noise levels.
